First Views of the Curry 3
After a miraculous 3-1 comeback in the Western Conference Finals the Warriors and MVP Steph Curry punched a tickets back to the finals (listen to a full preview of the finals on the first ever edition of the Rare Air podcast).
The only question is what will Steph be wearing on his feet. You can expect the Curry 2 or maybe 2.5 but pictures are now surfacing of a potential third model in Steph’s signature shoe line. Spotted on feet in a Monday shootaround, the model is a big shake up from its predecessors. A slicker upper and a slightly lower cut accent a pretty clean shoe.
YZY Season is Coming
This summer marks only Kanye’s second year with Adidas, but I don’t think he intends on slowing down. The creative genius, who was created 7 iconic sneaker silhouettes already is at again with rumored 650 in the works.
According to photos floating around on the Internet the shoe will feature a mid top cut and a fully Prime-kit upper like you might see on the ultra boost. A release of a 650 has been confirmed by the three stripes but no official pictures have been put out onto the Internet at the time of the writing of this article
THE RUN
Brand: Nike
Silhouette: Kobe 11
Nickname: Red Horse
Let me preface this by saying that the White Horse color way is my favorite Kobe 11 so far. It seems like Nike is committed to Kobe and continuing the Mamba legacy postmortem. The Red Horse is a good continuation of Kobe’s post 60 point game momentum. I like, as always, the utilization of the flyknit, the sole is crazy but still cool, and the understated nature of the upper is a good accent. Ultimately it’s an interesting summer shoe.

Brand: Jordan
Silhouette: Jordan 11 low
Nickname: Cherry/Navy and Gum
The Jordan 11 is one of my very favorite Jumpman sneakers and the set of 11s that are coming out don’t let down. The cherry color way is classic as any Bulls look is but I’m especially impressed with the Navy/Gum pair. I’m a sucker for the gum sole, but if you throw it on a pair of 11s it’s pretty much game over. I love both pairs but particularly the Navy ones.

Brand: Adidas
Silhouette: Pro Model/Superstar
Nickname: Quick Strike
Easily my favorite drop so far this summer and no one can even hold a candle to it. Prolific sneaker collaborators DJ Clark Kent and Russ Bengtson have officially gone beast mode on two classic adidas silhouettes. The pro model and the superstar. The camo all across the upper on the pro model is dope and the gold on the interior three stripes give each shoe a bit of sauce. Definitely a must pickup.

Brand: Under Armour
Silhouette: Curry 2
Nickname: Gold Rings
This is probably my second favorite Curry 2 to drop this year only behind the birthday color way. In celebration of Curry’s back to back finals appearance, Under Armour has cooked up some heat for him to wear versus the Cavs. The Gold Rings (note they made the name plural) is simple. It’s clean and it showcases how Curry lets his game do the talking.
